Nov 28, 2016 Page 1 of 2 - Malware removal Solved - posted in Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal: hi. I know its been said and resolved so many times, but i cant seem to get rid of virus/malware. I have put the program Malwarebytes Anti Malware. I scaned and it found me more than 2000 threats. Theyve been put in quarantine. However, each day it finds me malware. I have atached my scan, done today. Werkernel.sys fffff802`11ea0000 fffff802`11eb0000 0x00010000 0x57899be3. Windows® Operating System Windows Error Reporting Kernel Driver 10.0.14393.0. My system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1CPU intel Pentium 2.6GHz, Mother board: Intel DH61CR8GB RAM (DDR3), Graphics: Intel HDAudio: Realtek High Definition AudioI have Realtek High Definition Audio which has worked for 6 years on my computer until the other day. I noticed it after Windows did its second Tuesday update.
Realtek High Definition audio in the Device Manger has the yellow exclamation point by it and theDevice status says.' Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code52)'I ran the Update driver function and it comes back and says the driver is up to date.
I also used the browse function for up dating and selected the same driver that is installed and I get this driver is not recommended because it can not be verified that itis compatable with your hardware. EctWindows trouble shooter can not find a problem. When I open sound in the control panel it says No audion devices installed.I noticed under driver status that two drivers are not signed, drmk.sys and portcls.sys, both are listed as being in the C:Windowssystem32drivers folder. They are actually in C:Windowssystem32driverstoreFilerepositorywdamudio.infamd64-neutral1f5f63folder.
I have installed the latest drivers from Realtek and for my mother board but no signed drivers. IF I boot pressing the F8 key and select. 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' I have sound.I have not seen the Realtek audio speaker icon in the system tray since I first noticed my sound was gone. How do I get these file signed. They must have been signed before this happened. For 6 years it worked! Thanks Ramesh.Kumar and ElderN for the reply. I will try the compatibility mode tomorrow.
I checked my installed updates and KB3110329 was installed. I ran the sigverif tool and it does show drmk.sys and portcls.sys as unsigned. Both have a version of 6.1.7601.18276.Should I try to reinstall KB3110329 again? Would I have to uninstall it first or can I just try to reinstall over what is there?I noticed in the description of the KB3110329 that drmk and portcls versions are older then what the sigverfi shows. Is that a problem?
Once your system has settled down with updates and if the files remain afflicted/unsigned you need to 'take ownership' of the afflicted files so that you can rename them so they become 'missing'. You can't rename the files if you don't 'own' them. Then use sfc /acannow to let Windows replace the missing files for you and when it does it will pull hopefully 'good' replacement copies of the files from the system 'store' where all good files are supposed to be.See if you can follow the screenshot with the all the red arrows step by step. The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates.
Congratulation glad that it works for you. Here is the final conclusion of the procedure how I made it.1. Install KB3110329. It wouldn't fix anything yet, just make sure that all the files be manually replaced later would be completely removed away & restored with the orginals ( 6.1.7600.16385).2. During the installation of KB3110329, when it asks you to confirm installation, copy the 5 files from the installation source folder to somewhere ( drmk.sys /drmkaud.sys / portcls.sys / sysfxui.dll /wmalfxgfxdsp.dll,they are contained inside a sub-folder named amd64wdmaudio.inf 6.1.7601.19091, it's for Win7 64bit only).3. Complete the installation of KB3110329, reboot, follow the ElderN's way to manually replace the files in ' /windows/system32' & ' /windows/system32/drivers' with files from step2.After that reboot system again, make sure that everything regarding audio works again.4.
When the audio works again, uninstall KB3110329 & reboot, all files would be restored normally to6.1.7600.16385. & the audio would still keep working.5. Install KB3110329 again & reboot, now all files would be correctly updated with right version ( 6.1.7601.19091) & security info. That's all. Hope it will help others still look for help.
